Rhodes
Rhodes is the fourth largest island in Greece. The historic capital of the Dodecanese, is a whole chapter in itself.
The medieval city, the castles, the ancient treasures, the nature, the beaches classify it as one of those islands that have it all.
Rhodes is one of the most well-preserved medieval cities. In fact, it has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Lindos
It is located in the southeast of the island and has its own share of cobbled narrow and white houses. It is full of paved courtyards, painted ceilings, and cobbled streets. At the top of the settlement, on a cliff, is built the Acropolis of Lindos with the sanctuaries, the Hellenistic Stoa and the reliefs.
The archeological sites
The ancient treasures and remnants of civilizations from the Hellenistic and Roman years are not missing from the island. Apart from Lindos, you will find monuments to visit in the other two ancient cities of Rhodes, Ialyssos and Kamiros. Built amphitheatrically overlooking the sea, they are an attraction for visitors.

Rhodes has a plethora of castles that impress the visitor. The castle of the Grand Master in Rhodos town. The castle of Monolithos on the majestic rock from where the Knights of St. John gazed at the endless blue. The medieval castle of Kritinia, and the castle of Asclepius
The valley with butterflies
Starting from the end of June until September, something unique happens in the famous habitat near Thollos .The cocoons open, the caterpillars transform into butterflies, offering a dreamy setting to visitors. Green paths, wooden bridges, dense vegetation, ponds with water lilies and small waterfalls are a refreshing walk.

The beaches
Turquoise waters, sand and rocks, ideal for longboats, you will find in the cosmopolitan Agios Pavlos,and Palestra in Lindos. At Perndanissos where the Navarone Cannons were filmed - you will find crystal clear waters with a backdrop of rocks and a boat pier. At the beach of Afandou village, you will find organized and non-organized places, options for beach sports and waters that deepen sharply. A nice beach is the bay of Glystra with its green hills and golden sand. Excellent choices are the beaches of Vlychon and Agathi.
